We just spent four days at Kestrel Cove Lodge with the amazing team at Western River Flyfisher Guides, and once again they exceeded every expectation. The brand new lodge in Dutch John, Utah is absolutely beautiful. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed, creating a peaceful atmosphere that encourages you to unplug, slow down, and enjoy the incredible surroundings. Our room was exceptional. It was stocked with thoughtful snacks, great coffee, and even a kettle for tea. The furnishings were beautiful, comfortable, and inviting, and the blankets were some of the softest I've ever experienced. The shower was equally impressive, featuring stunning tile work and high end finishes that made the entire space feel luxurious. One of my favorite parts of the lodge was the back patio outside our room. I spent quite a bit of time there working, but with the quiet setting and beautiful scenery, it hardly felt like work at all. The patios are designed in a way that makes it easy to visit with other guests, and it was fun ending each day swapping fishing stories with everyone. The owners have created something truly special. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality shine through in every aspect of the lodge. Being just minutes from the legendary Green River, with some of the best fly fishing anywhere, makes this an unforgettable destination. If you're looking for incredible fishing, knowledgeable guides, beautiful accommodations, and a place where you can truly relax, Kestrel Cove Lodge is it. We were so impressed by everything they have created and are already looking forward to returning next year to see what they build next.

We had such an amazing stay at this lodge. It is brand new and absolutely stunning. You will not be disappointed. Great amenities stocked for all of your needs. The owners Matt and Amanda, are Salt of the Earth amazing humans. The staffers and guides were wonderful and so fun and welcoming! They make you feel like family!

If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Dutch John you found it! Kestrel Cove Lodge did not disappoint on any level. Nestled up in the most beautiful cove this place had it all. From the dishes to the most comfortable beds and linens, the coffee bar to the beautifully vaulted ceilings and beautiful bathroom. The back patio was so perfect tucked up against the beautiful landscape of rocks and trees, literally the best place to hang out and enjoy the evening! We had the best weekend at Kestrel Cove and cannot wait to come back! If I could leave a 10 star review I would because it was that amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Truly an incredible place to stay! The rooms are thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and have everything you need. If you’re coming to fish the Green, you couldn’t ask for a better location—it’s ideally situated for easy access to any section of the Green River below Flaming Gorge. After a long day on the water, the back patio is the perfect place to relax and unwind. They absolutely nailed every detail with these cabins, and I can’t wait to come back.

So nice. Brand new and so convenient for jumping on the river in the morning. I can’t express enough how much nicer this is than any other accommodations in Dutch John. The beds used to be the price you had to pay for awesome fishing. Now you can get a good nights rest before your day on the water.
